Committee
The Welfare & Environment Committee deals with public health affairs, such as health improvement, health & sanitation, disease control, social welfare for low-income households, the disabled, and senior citizens to meet different welfare needs, policies supporting women, children and youth, and is also responsible for environment and water policies, including river management, water quality improvement, forestry, the ecosystem, resource recycling, climate and air quality, as well as the Busan Institute of Health and Environment, Busan Water Authority, Nakdonggang River Headquarters, and Busan Environment Corporation.
