No. of council members
- The 10th Busan Metropolitan Council is composed of 48 members, with 42 elected by simple majority from the 42 electoral districts and another 6 elected through a proportional representation system.
- The Gu and Gun are divided into constituencies or electoral districts according to population, administrative divisions, geography, transportation and other conditions specific to each area. One constituency elects one member, therefore 42 members are elected from the 42 constituencies of Busan.
- The six members are chosen by the proportional representation system. The seats are allocated to parties on the basis of their proportion of the vote, in accordance with the party list drawn up by the political party before the election.
